Doggy Loves Kitty, a baby blanket knitting pattern PDF

$8.00

The “Doggy Loves Kitty” baby blanket knitting pattern has very clear, detailed instructions with many step-by-step photos. It is circularly knit using Fair Isle technique, a machine-sewn steek and machine-sewn fabric backing. There’s a bit of hand embroidery, using only the simple stitches that are thoroughly charted, photographed and explained.

SIZE: The short answer: It’s about a 36” / 91cm square stroller blanket. The details: Knitted portion = 30 1/2” / 77 cm wide by 31 1/2” / 80 cm long, not including steeks. Finished blanket, including fabric border = 36 1/2” / 93 cm wide by 37” / 94 cm long.

GAUGE: 24 stitches and 28 rows = 4” / 10cm in stranded stockinette stitch.

NEEDLES: If you knit loosely, try a 24 to 32” / 60 to 80cm long US #4 / 3.50mm needle. If you knit tightly, US #5 / 3.75mm needle.

YARN: We sell the yarn pack, in the same yarns used for the sample, right over…here! Sample used a total of twelve 50g balls in eight different colors of Rowan Baby Cashsoft Merino, a machine-washable, sport weight blend of 57% merino wool, 33% acrylic, 10% cashmere; 142 yds / 130 m per 1 ¾ oz / 50g. Three 50g balls of both Cream and Nutkin; one 50g ball of each of the other six colors, Cecily, Vintage Pink, Baby Blue, Sea Grass, Rosy and Anthracite.
