Design for an extra warm and vibrant ladies’ circularly knit hat worked in stranded knitting using a total of four colors of DK weight yarn. The brim is knit with two colors per round; the main portion is knit with three colors per round. Chart includes notes for managing floats. Yarn colors used in sample:
1 ball of each of these 4 Felted Tweed colors:
#170 Seafarer, #197 Alabaster, #219 Heliotrope and #167 Maritime.
All in DK weight.
Needle suggestions:
MAIN needle: If you knit loosely, US #4 / 3.50 mm; if you knit tightly, US #5 / 3.75 mm.
LINING needle: If you knit loosely, US #3 / 3.25 mm; if you knit tightly, US #4 / 3.50mm.
If you want a snug / smaller brim, you can go down two sizes from your MAIN needle size for your brim lining needle.
